Q. What about "holy ostracism"? I just learned about it. A person taking the "holy ostracism" route in reaction to the above scenario would abstain from fellowship with that g y-friendly church, and abstain from fellowship with that g y friend until they "turn away from homosexuality". Would/Do Christians do this if/when they discover that their friend is a g y Christian and attending a g y-friendly church? Asked by ZER0 C00L AM VT FREAK - Thu Apr 30 18:01:23 2009 - - 16 Answers - 0 Comments A. i agree with the ostracism option, after all would you encourage a fellow christian to burglarize homes and then find a church that says stealing is okay. sin is sin and if a person wants to revel in sin then we must walk away from them and allow them to reap the result of their decision in the hope that they will turn aside from what they are doing. the bible has a formula for this type of behaviour, 1) call on them to abandon their sin 2) visit them with witnesses and again call on them to abandon their sin 3) shun them and do not allow their behavior to be a stumbling block for others. Answered by snotalie - Thu Apr 30 18:08:32 2009 How do the X and Y chromosomes pair up and split? Q. I know chromosomes pair up because they are similar and they are originally joined at the centromere before they get split during myosis and mitosis. But the X and Y chromosomes - they're tottally different, so how does it work? Damn. It just suddenly started making sense. Thanks. Asked by Solid Edge - Sun Jun 7 05:18:20 2009 - - 1 Answers - 0 Comments A. u seem to be having ur concepts tangled up. X n Y chromosomes are homologous chromosomes, they are indeed different but share some homologous sequences and save the same main purpose, sex determination, that is y they r called homologous chromosomes. they do pair up during mitosis and even cross over during meiosis but they are never held at the centromere. only sister chromatids are held at the centromere. X n Y just lie beside each other, hope u get the difference... Answered by unknown - Sun Jun 7 05:30:43 2009 How can I tell if an equation defines y as a linear function of x?
Q. My math class is asking me to tell if, in an equation like -2x + 4y=7, y is a linear function of x. I understand that there will only be one value for each variable if it is linear, but is there a way to tell when I convert it to slope-intercept if it is linear or not without having to graph it? Asked by Beauty Bunny - Wed Jan 23 13:24:43 2008 - - 1 Answers - 0 Comments A. Once you place the y in function of x (y = 0.5x + 7/4) you know it's linear if the x exponent is 1 and is not in the denominator.
