A. you can have custom stamps made at Ready Stamps. It is a community based business of the Cerebral Palsy foundation and employs persons with disabilities. You can go to for more information and to order stamps made from your original drawing and copyright free art. I understand you get an entire sheet of unmounted stamps for a relatively low price.

Remove a rubber stamp from original educational certificate?
Q. I inadvertently stamped one on my original educational certificate with a rubber stamp. I tried cleaning with ink eraser but it takes out the base print on the certificate also. Anyway I can clean it with the least damage to the certificate? I tried cleaning with water. It didn't really work. It maybe made it just a little light.

A. If you were using a dye ink, you may be able to use water to remove the most of it, as long as the original is not dye based. Using a paint brush, add water to image and move around, soak up water with paper towel. do not rub, just dab.

Is the Democratically controlled rubber stamp congress the change that was promised by President Obama?
Q. We all know that President Bush had a Republican controlled rubber stamp congress...now it's all the same with the Democrats. Wasn't there supposed to be a change in Washington? lol @ Dukemack Actually, no RachelR...it's not too early. The House of Representatives has already rubber stamped the economic stimulous. It's expected to be the same in the Senate.

A. Yes, he lucked out getting a majority all around so all his wishes would be okayed. This is the reason we absolutely need checks and balances. Obama wants the stimulus package passed quickly and I wonder why? Maybe if everyone had time to see where all this money is going, they'd think twice as only 12% will stimulate the economy and the rest (88%) is all pure pork. This is plain nonsense. We need all of it to go for stimulating the economy since that is what this package is for, isn't it? So, rubber stamp congress is not healthy for the country.,

If Bush is not a conservative, why did Republicans rubber stamp the Bush policies?
Q. Why did the republican congress from 2000 to 2006 give Bush a rubber stamp on everything leading to a 12.1 Trillion dollar deficit? Have the words conservative republican become an oxymoron? Will McCain say anything to get elected?
Asked by Dawg Hous - Tue Sep 23 23:13:49 2008 - - 4 Answers - 0 Comments
A. Very good question. You see long..long..ago bush made all these promises and made himself look like a big time conservative. That way all the religious people would vote for him because it was the right thing to do and you were not christian if you did not vote bush. So instead of people voting for themselves and what they think is right, they did what their religious leaders told them to do. To you conservatives, I am not liberal however god did give you a brain and an ability to make your own judgments. So if you would not hire a man that was a drunk and a lier why would you vote him in as president? Intelligence is a trait that you want a president to have and Bush is far from it. And McCain just isn't doing it for me either.

What should I carve into a rubber stamp?
Q. for my art project, i have to carve an eraser into a rubber stamp and i do not know what to carve so, my dear friends, i have turned to the internets for assistance! do not let me down!
Asked by Claudia - Mon Feb 9 17:56:13 2009 - - 22 Answers - 0 Comments
A. Maybe the traditional "Rejected," and/or "Approved" dipped in Red or Blue ink [Red for Rejected, Blue for Approved, or the opposite way might show a bit of Irony] or an intricate flower, or bug, or some sort of abstract figure. Sounds like a cool project, I might try that on my own.

Is there a company that will design a logo for you to put on a rubber stamp.?
Q. I know the design, but I can't draw. I need to find a company that will sketch the design and make it into a rubber stamp.

A. There are companies that can do that for you. I could even design it for you, being a designer but I'd have to find a company that would make the my artwork into a rubber stamp. Chances are...it would be expensive, because it's just ONE stamp. Now there is a business around where I live that has some clip art and you can write the text you want to go next to it and have THAT made into a stamp. It's called Staples. I'd go to your local office/copy store and ask them about it. Because for a one of a kind stamp...unless you own a business it's going to cost a LOT and isn't really worth it.

A. Hi - try a "Hybrid Inkpad". It has multi colored ink on the same inkpad so when you use it, the colors vary with the same stamped image. I have a hybrid inkpad called a "Palette" in "reflection blue". It varies shades of blue. Its really cool. But you can get many other colors and mixes that will go quite well with Christmas colors. I got it at...hold on...ok I got it online at "Stamp-Connection.com". Their toll free # is: 1-866-667-1133. Good luck and have fun! Oh... by the way, that stamp pad cost me: $7.95 in us dollars and is located in Oregon. Their address is: 109 NE Roberts Ave Gresham, OR 97030

Where can I find equipment for going into the rubber stamp business?
Q. I'm looking for a machine I can purchase to make rubberstamps. I'm looing for the most recent machine out there. A machine that does all the work with less labor. Does anyone know where I can find that?

A. Check out Granthams.com There will be some labor in making them, some of the work is tedious even with the machine. I had a job at a print shop 10 yrs ago making rubber stamps. Not only is it tedious but it can be very messy. You will need more than just the machine though, you will need a laser printer to be able to print your artwork, will need to be able to print your negatives (this is what the stamp is actually made from). You will also need an area where you can leave things set up. The actual curing of the resin does not take very long but if you invest in an expensive machine you will want to put it in a permanent spot. After all that check out Trodat rubber stamps, they make the best self inking mechanisms. If you google them… [cont.]

A. If you use "markers" you definitely don't want to use *permanent* markers ... they'll stain your rubberstamps (and may even eat into them a bit), and they also dry too fast. Generally the markers and other substances used for rubberstamping are slow-drying... this can include things other than inks (though the "brush markers" for stamping are slow-drying--they're brushed onto the stamp before stamping). Sometimes the other substances are soaked into a pad of some kind --a thin sponge, or even several paper towels on a plate)... for example: ...acrylic paint (or thinned with water or acyrlic mediums) ...tube watercolors ...tempera paint ..."chalk paints" Slow-drying inks are also used for embossing rubberstamped designs (the kind of "em [cont.]

Which would be cheaper, rubber stamp address or make labels for catalog sales ?
Q. I am selling DIscovery Toys and want to put my contact info on the back. I think ordering a self inking rubber stamp might be the cheapest ? Seems like the cost of making labels on the puter with the cost of ink and labels would be a lot more expensive ? Also, would it be more "modern" to print labels for snail mail or to just print on the envelope or even have some else make them up because it is probably always cheaper than printer ink ? Any copy shop people or experienced people who might want to share your ideas on this ?

A. Hmmm, I'm going to answer this based on personal experience as a direct mail salesperson, rubber stamp dealer, and printing broker. I have found it is most profitable doing my own labels on my pc and printer because I can print out labels that are personalized, or add an advertising message below my address. I can change my personalizations or messages at any time without having to order and wait on a new rubber stamp or labels from a supply source. So, it's not a matter of cheaper, it's a matter of what makes the most money. Does it make more money testing and buying rubber stamps and print shop generated labels over and over again... or do you profit more from being able to have full control over changing that which does not work over… [cont.]
