Need some creative ideas working with rubber stamps?
Q. I have a bunch of rubber stamps, glitter glue and markers. I want to start a project using them, but I can only think of making cards. Does anyone have any other ideas for using these materials?

A. Yes, I am the idea girl! If it is sitting still, stamp it! Take an old book that is damaged, or just plain boring, and start tearing pages out of it, stamp on those, draw, circle words, and then glue them back in, or into a completely different book. Take a blank journal and stamp pages, and add quotes from your favorite author, or any little things you find funny, inspiring or thought provoking on alternate pages, so as you use the journal it is spiced up with little creative bits. Make some personalized note paper, or post-it notes. As long as you put them on something clean to decorate them, you can put the post-it. papers back in the stack. Stamp in your books to identify that they are yours. Stamp on your calendar. Stamp on all of… [cont.]

How would you "de-stink" some rubber stamps?
Q. I got these clear rubber stamps at a yard sale the other day. They smelled fine outside, but when I took another sniff at home, it totally smelled like cigarette smoke. How do I get the stench out completely without ruining the stamps?

A. They have to be cleaned. Covering up the cigarette smoke smell won't work. Use a solution of dishwashing liquid-about a teaspoon of Dawn preferably, a cup of ammonia (any type will work), and 1 gallon of hot tap water-not boiling. Soak them for about 5 minutes in the solution. Gently take a washcloth or similar soft cleaning cloth and very gently scrub them lightly. Rinse very good under warm/hot water, and lay with the "engraved" side down on a clean towel. This was the solution told to me after a house fire, and it works. (I had lots of heavy soot and smoke damage). Ranger Ink also makes a great rubber stamp cleanser available at craft stores that sell rubber stamps. It is scented, but not designed for smoke.

Are there any effects in vegas pro 9 that stamps the screen like a rubber stamp?
Q. I'm wondering if there are any effects or transitions or w/e you call them that stamps the screen in whatever text you want e.g. cookie? This could be in vegas pro 9 or any other editing software. If there is in another video editing software can you please tell me the name of it and the name of the effect. Thanks!!!

A. not by dafault... You have to download some advanced effects / plugins.. Just google for Aries-Films to download over 300 tools for video editing including really nice Sony vegas plugins...
